LCP Custom question

What is the difference between model 3755 and model 3740? Do I care? Should I have a preference? Why?

I've even seen postings on GB that list both model numbers for the same gun. Confused

Mine is the Model 3740 Custom per the number on the box. They only made one Custom to my knowledge; however I do see this same gun referred to the Model 3755, but I see zero difference in them.

Thanks. Eager to buy one but want to know if there is a difference. I'm wondering if one was a distributor exclusive prior to building and shipping them directly from Ruger. I'm sure someone will know for sure.

Assume you're happy with your Custom?

I have the 3740 also. I think the 3755 came with slightly different slide serrations just before they discontinued the model so there wasn't much press on it..

Thanks. I can't imagine slide serrations being a deal breaker either way for me.

True Grit, I've looked at pictures of both models and think you're absolutely correct. The 3755 appears to have more aggressive serrations.

I have the LCP Custom with the "special" slide serrations. The model number on the box is 3755. This was an exclusive variation produced for Davidson's.

Thanks Rampo. I ended up with a pair of LCPs. One for my new-shooter wife and one Custom (3755) for me. I've shot over 700 rounds already and have become a fan. Attached a picture of my carry rotation plus my wife's. You can probably pick hers out I'm still a huge fan of the SR9c and also enjoy having the little LCP that goes anywhere, anytime, not matter what I'm wearing. The LC9s has become a tweener to me - still like it but it just falls somewhere between the others.

I am happy with my LCP as well. It has become my constant companion, sits in a wallet holster in my back pocket. So much so, that the wallet holster is now taking on the contour of my a$$
