Rugers CS is top notch but is this an issue that only affects a small number or a bigger issue?

Got LCP II back today. Ruger replace the trigger pivot pin and test fired with 18 rounds. Very fast turn around. Fed Ex'ed it to them last tuesday night, they received it on friday, I got it back the following thursday. Can't beat that.

I also had problems with Sig ammo in a Remington R51. That gun had no issues with 8 other brands and types of ammo. Did not try any .380 in my LCP custom.

How did you contact Ruger for quick resolution?

I would like to know how you contacted them to get the fast results. I have a new LCP II w/laser that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. Took to the range today for the first time and on the 36th Round the slide flew off down range. Noticed that the take down pin was slightly ajar but nothing else obviously wrong. Range officer called a cease fire for me to retrieve but we could not locate the Guide Rod. Plan to visit my local shop that I bought it from tonight so we can take a much closer look at the firearm. I have a great working relationship with the shop so I am hoping they might take care of reaching out to Ruger for me, but if not wanted to know what process you followed.

Go to ruger .com, click on contact us and then call them. They have really good customer service, no hold times, etc. in my experiences with them. Sending back my Mark IV today.

As far as Sig ammo, I have a Sig P229 that would not work well with Winchester White Box from Walmart. Called Sig and they blamed it on ammo. All was well using other ammo until I tried their V-crown ammo and couldn't get through 5 rounds without a stove pipe. Called them again and this time they took it in for repair. We'll see but their ammo does seem to be problematic.
