Shot my Custom LCP yesterday. Shot well with ball ammo. Had quite a kick. I got home and cleaned it, loaded it with Speer 95 gr. hollow point, it had problems loading it. Today I will try some Hydra Shok. Got the new Desantis Pocket Tuk holster for it, I like the holster. I will most likely use it as an IWB holster, as I carry it only on the farm. I carry a .45 when off of my property. Anyone else having problems with hollow points loading in the Custom LCP?

I've had mine for coming up on 6 years now. It go's with me everywhere, rides safely in its Bear Creek wallet holster. Feed and function is flawless.

I recently bought a Custom LCP. It did well at the range with ball ammo, though it kicked like a mule. After cleaning, I loaded it with Speer 95 gr. hollow point and it was having feeding problems. After lubing the feed ramp with Break Free, then wiping most of it off, it fed the hollow points just fine. Great little carry pistol for on my farm.

Update 2-8-2017...

Instead of making a new thread figured I'd continue my original one.

Last year about (according the the date of this thread anyways) I bought the Ruger LCP. It was my daily summer carry up until last August when I sold it. Stupid me right?

Well today I redeemed myself and got another one. Paid the same $209.99. Instead of the little carry pouch, they are now shipping with a pocket holster apparently. Well I was able to score the Ruger carry pouch and a spare magazine for $10!

I took it out back and ran a box of ammo though it. No problems. It's everything I remember.

Best group at 7 yards rapid fire.

Wife loves this pistol and is her daily carry piece. Over 1,000 rounds through it and not a single malfunction.

Yesterday I had the gun on me for 20hrs in my front pocket. No problems, carried like a dream.

Now if the seat to the car I was test driving last night was as comfy...

Nice fast fire shots, looking at the red outline, looks like you shot a rabbit.

I've had a LCP since I got my CCW...it's my EDC. Had it out to the range, and I don't quite get why people say it's not range gun...a Hogue grip on it, and it's really not bad. Alternated magazines between my RI 1911CSTac (9mm) and the LCP...no complaints. Less kick on it that I expected for it's size, and at 7 yds, I was within the 8 ring on the standard target. Ran some WWB FMJ, Sellier & Belloit FMJ, Barnes TACX FD (80 grain), Winchester PDX, and Sig's Elite Performance VCrown (90 grain)...even alternated FMJ/JHP and not a single failure. It's small enough to disappear in the front pocket of cargo pants...I like it. Was considering getting a Baby Rock 380...but at this point, the LCP does everything I need.

I like my LCP. My upgrades, Hogue soft grip, 13# recoil spring, SS guide rod, Sweet Pea trigger, dot of white paint on front sight.

Gun has been "tamed". A lot more comfortable to shoot. Don't let it's size fool you, it's a little power house.

No, it's not a long range shooter, but at close range (and that's what it is designed for) Elsie Pea could ruin your day. Not a replacement for a good 1911, but in a bad situation it could save your life.

Nice shooting rapid fire. I've become a recent over-the-top zealot for the LCP Custom. You'll see it on several threads never considered one until renting one at the range. It wasn't as bad to shoot as I had imagined and was more accurate than expected. BUT the real reason to have one is as everyone notes, there's no excuse to not carry once you own one. I can carry it no matter where I go or what I'm wearing. I've shot it a bunch since getting it and I can now draw, empty it one handed point shooting and keep them all in a reasonable group (all things considered) but all clearly near center mass on a silhouette target at 21'. Good enough for me. Understand the limitations of this little gun but can't say I ever been more enthusiastic about a new pistol. One FTE early on 600+ rounds fired.

I just bought another LCP at a new store that opened this weekend. $199 plus tax. That's $100 less than I paid for my 1st one in 2008 when they first came out. The trigger on the new one is a lot better, as are the sights - I can actually see them. The LCP II doesn't float my boat.

I added the 13# spring as well. Really tames the recoil.
