My trigger finger doesn't get pinched, but the small trigger guards really beat up the first joint on my trigger finger . My solution was also to move my finger out and pull the trigger with the pad of my finger tip instead of the first joint. That was a few years ago. Now I shoot that way by habit , it works for me, and I can enjoy shooting small hand guns
