My new p944

A lot of people are going "green" because it is the current rage. Today, I started on my new program too. I'm going ".40". I am sick and tired of looking for ammo and finding little or nothing. I guess I could even use a username change now, because, when there was not run on ammo, 327 was not falling out of trees and now, I don't remember the last I saw. And forget 380. I think it's just a rumor that they make 380 ammo anymore.

Nope, today, I got a P944 in blue. (black matt)..I long ago gave up on a P95 version of the .40, and I'm beginning to think the SR40 is a dream too. I've never been a fan of .40 and this is my first .40 in several years. #1 reason for the change of heart? .40 ammo is EVERYWHERE. I don't have to beg, borrow or steal it. I guess I owe thanks to all the cops that made it so popular, because, due to that popularity, it's falling off the shelves everywhere I go.

I'm sorry, I lost focus. I picked it up today and brought it home with me. I ordered 3 mags from Ruger with the 20% discount I got for on line registration of my gun and picked up 250 rounds of ammo. Life is good.

I managed to have time for a 20 round function test and all was well, (I expected no less than that) and my shooting was ok. 20 rounds, 10 yards, 2 1/2" group. And let me say, boy have they improved the triggers since my 95 was built 5 years ago..Lighter and smoother.

Fit and finish was flawless and there were no dings in the metal or the crown of the barrel. It's amazing..Ruger always built fine guns, but now that the Ruger family is gone, QC is better, product line is better, and I have seen the first 30 round Ruger mini-14 mag, on the shelve, in commerical packaging ever. "My but the times, they are a'changin. To the better...

I've had my KP944 for about 6 or 7 years now and I am more impressed with it now than when I first bought it. It has never failed in any way. Congraturlations on your choice of gun and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.
