Buying Pistols from online sources?

Anyone have experience of buying form online sources like gun broker, grab a gun, etc. Have local FFL that does not charge a fee and the prices seem great even with shipping in some cases. Too good to be true? Just wondering.

I used Gun Broker for one purchase. I was a little hesitant and leery through the whole process but the dealer had an A+ rating and everything went off without a hitch. If you use reputable people you will usually be OK. I have used Palmetto State for multiple parts purchases and they are good to deal with as long as you can wait for the items to be shipped.

I have used Bud's several times, Tombstone Tactical and Grabagun.com

All experiences were positive, no issues whatsoever.
I will say that Buds shipped much faster than the others.

I used Buds before.
Last time was for a CZ 2075 BD Rami for the wife. Everything went smoothly, and the price was on par with others, but only Buds had it.
The only complaint was, I paid on a Monday and the funds went out of my account the same day. The following week on Monday, I called to ask why the had NOT shipped it yet.
They gave some lame excuse that their banking company had no yet sent them the funds yet. I called BS and kinda chewed them a bit. They shipped it the following Wednesday.

So it was a 11 day wait.
I guess its what you have to do if you want it bad enough and nobody else has it.

I've used Bud's several times without incident, but usually pay with a credit card. You don't get the advertised cash discount price, but they do seem to ship faster.
I just bought a 6" GP100 from them and decided to do the echeck thing so I got the cash discount and now seem to be playing the waiting game as you describe above. The funds were taken out of my account immediately, and the site says it takes up to 5 days for their bank to be completely funded. Weird, but I'm not in a huge hurry. I would not hesitate to use Bud's for any of my purchases.
I did buy one gun on Gunbroker with mixed results. The gun was advertised new in box. When I got it it looked like it was handled A LOT. I'm guessing it was a display model that got touched 100 times before. I wasn't 100% happy, but not completely disappointed. The seller actually offered a full refund so I couldn't complain too much. I will probably use Gunbroker with caution in the future.

I've bought my SR1911 and walther p22 from Impactguns.com. I didn't have super fast turnaround due to when I bought them. The 1911 was on backorder and the p22 I ordered right before fathers day. I did get free shipping on them but my FFL charged $20 a piece for the transfer. But their prices are pretty good and you just have to watch for the free shipping deals when they come up.
