Yeah, day one added Mepro Nite sites. A main house gun needs night sites!
BTW,10 years old and still bright!
Then add 2 years of constant Pushing CRIMSON TRACE to come out with a
P-series grip........took em 2 tries...lol
But Even the Stock P91----- a dozen rounds of SW.40......kicks ass.
Before the Laser install..... mine deadly accurate at 35+ yards.
Perfect fit in my hand.
Yeah, it is an old school Ruger,
But accurrate and reliable as hell!
Any other P91 fans out there?

The P 91 was my first auto feeder. After 5000 plus rounds thru it, it still performs without fail. My son moved to Mass. and then to Illinois. I've told him if he ever moves to a free state that he can have it, if not it stays in my collection. We'll see what the future holds.
I added a set of Hogue wrap arounds with finger grooves. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.

I had a P91DC that I bought used for $140 thanks to a family discount at Gander Mountain, but I traded it in to put a down payment on my SR9. I liked it and all but the slide was hanging up and failing to feed rounds.
If I ever find another one that is in good working condition I won't hesitate to pick it up and add it to my collection once again.

My first handgun was a P91 DAO.
Man, that long trigger pull taught me well how to shoot accurately.
Great gun.
Sometimes I wish I still had it.

Great gun.
Sometimes I wish I still had it. | Same sentiments I have about the P91 DAO I had.
The only reason I got rid of it was to purchase my Glock 27. I needed a small concealment gun and the P91 just wasn't made for that. I didn't have the funds to purchase the Glock 27 outright.

Thanks for the responses Guys.
I bought my P91 just after Ruger quit making them.
When hit the gun shop...a very sweet P90 right next to it...lol
I chose the .40SW over the .45acp model....and got ragged on ALOT from gun Friends...
Till they noticed mine accurrate and reliable.-------and holds a dozen rounds...lol
I am a RUGER HISTORY WHORE....know the P90 ROCKS....
But will never regret my choice... |

I know this is old, but the P91DC was my first pistol, bought in 93 or 94. Still have it. It's a beast, I don't have the biggest hands but it is a great shooting pistol. Hogue grips are all that I added to it along with a third magazine and a Bianchi holster. It's never failed and hasn't had anything but cheap ammo and reloads ran through it. Still looks new to this day and should be in my possesion until my time expires.

I really like the "P" series. The P 89 is on my list. Just have to find a nice one.
