Question Ruger P90 Pricing

I had an older friend pass away a few months ago and receintly his wife asked if I wanted to buy his .22 ammo off of her. I of course jumped at the chance to get some .22 ammo! When I opened his safe he has several guns and the one that really stuck out to me was his Ruger P90. I really relly like the look and feel of the gun and while looking into it the P90 seems like it is a GREAT gun. All the pricing I have been able to find is from when people purchased them 7 and 8 years ago. I know I could buy it off of her for very cheap but I really do want to do the right thing and give her what it's worth... it seems to be in good shape but I know nothing else about the gun. Does anyone know what a P90 is going for these days?

This picture is obviously not the actual gun but this one looks pretty much exactly like it with the safety, grips and colors. Hopefully it might help with an accurate price range? Thanks for any info anyone can provide!

Welcome. Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I recently paid $425 for a stainless P90DC, in perfect condition with everything it came with and basically in new condition. I wanted the decocker model, and paid a little more for it. I have seen the P90 sell for anywhere between $300-$450. The P90 is truly an excellent pistol, and will serve you well.

I generally see them in the $350-$450 range in NY. However, I just noticed a P91dc for $200! I may have to go check that out. What a price!

I would be fair and offer her $350 for it! I'd say check them out on gunbroker.com and see what some of the prices are and come up with an average!

I recently picked up a Ruger P97 DAO, in very good-excellent condition, for $350 shipping included!

In this instance, I would pay it forward. You get an excellent pistol and keepsake, and your friends widow doesn't get hurt. $500+.
What comes around goes around.

400 and no one is getting hurt.

Most all 90's I see coming down the pike start in the 400-450 range.

Last one I have seen ( today) was going for $450 used locally, they are becoming harder to find. That's the only one I have seen for sale in probably a year through various shows and shops I have wandered through. I own one I bought in 1999 and would never get rid of it, it was also the reason I bought all the other P series pistols. Its a darn nice gun, and built like an abrams tank.

I love my KP90DC and it truly is a tank, I carried it for years as my duty gun. I have retired it from duty and carry the SR40c in stainless now. Getting a little older and needed to carry lighter, that's the only reason. excellent gun I would offer $350.00

If it is a very clean, safe kept gun.......$400 is a fair price

I've gone and looked up what the elusive P90 is going for on the Auction house websites and it seems the value has gone down from a couple months ago. But in this case, I would still pay it forward. Good luck.

I've only seen 1 used P90 for sale in my area, it's at a LGS with 2 Magazines, and the original box in average condition, it's a 2001 model. Asking price is $400, in your case, I'd go $450.

Talking thanks for all the info

Thank you everyone for your input it has been very helpful. I have a lot better idea of pricing now for this gun. I'm looking forward to getting it! I'll probably set up a small payment plan with her and pay for it over a few paychecks but I really want it. Thanks again.

I bought a 91 era P90 the other day off the original owner, really good shape, well maintained with 2 mags (7 & 8 rd.) with the Hogue grips... I paid $350 for this "tank" & figure I got a good deal. It's gonna be my EDC....

My local gun shop has one

Like new with cardboard shipping box, stainless with safety, $325. If I did not have the same exact gun, I would have bought it on the spot. I paid $349 for mine about a year ago.
