I got my wife a 96/22 maybe a dozen years ago and we've shot it maybe twice. I can't hit the side of a barn with it unless I go inside and close the door. It's not the gun, it's those buckhorn sights and my old eyes. I may put some XS sights on it. They really made a difference with my Marlin 1894c in .357 Magnum.

I picked up one in HMR and just today changed it over to a WMR with a Green Mountain Octagon barrel. Not sure I should have spent the money and just used it as a HMR, but I am not fond of the round and hate cleaning the barrel all the time. Not to mention the average $5 difference in cost of ammo.
