96/44 magazines

Hi all new here just wondering if there is a larger magazine available for the 96/44mag, The biggest hassle I have with this rifle is the fact that the magazine only hold 4 rounds has anyone marketed an aftermarket magazine for these rifles yet.

Regards

Not that I have ever seen or heard of. Would think it would be very diffucult due to the rotarary style, although they have done it for the 10-22. Guess one should never say never. One I deer hunt in the timber, I put one in the rifle and one in my pocket and that suffices for my needs.

What problems does having only 4 rounds in 44 mag cause you while hunting?

No. Especially since it was never really a popular gun and its been out of production for quite awhile.

My 300 Winchester mag only holds 3 stored and one in the chamber. I think same for my 220 Swift. I do hold extra ammo on me just in case.

While hunting off the quad it's very difficult to change magazines while chasing a mob of pigs down before we had our mini 14's and skk taken off us by the government would use 20 shot clips so you could stay on the same mob. In oz we find that after the sheet has been harvested large mobs of pigs feed on the left over grain because each paddock can be on average 20000 acres you can clean the whole mob up so larger capacity does come in handy
