Question Price on Used Henry Golden Boy .22

Hello all I was looking on the Internet last night. I saw a listing for a used Hener Golden Boy .22 lever action rifle. The gun over all looks nice wood looks great. But on the left side of the brass receiver jus a few very light scratch's nothing very noticeable but the seller brought them up. The asking price is $300.00 I would greatly appreciate any input thanks in advance!

For reference, my plain black, base model Henry 22 lever action rifle cost $279 plus tax less than a year ago.
It's a sweet shooting gun so I wouldn't pass up a Golden Boy 22 for $300. They sell for much more than that new.

Agree with JAXRIDER. $300 is a great price. I have two blue Henry 22s about to go on Armslist for $425 each. There is a demand for these good quality 22s these days. Buy the Brass one ASAP.

I bought a youth model for my daughter. Retail is over $500. Shoots great shorts, longs, long rifle. Check out the Henry web site you can buy a replacement receiver cover.

They are $439 brand new at my LGS, so yeah that's a good deal. Up until the madness you could buy the blue one for $269 on sale at my LGS. Now they are $289. You won't go wrong with a Henry.

Go for it. They are great shooters and I forgot what it was like to shoot 22 shorts. On another note, just came across a Henry Golden Boy 22LR in silver, model H004S I believe. I thought the brass was cool until I saw this one. Had to pay $625 though.

I just paid 400.00 for a new GoldenBoy at a local gun shop, although it went to my son inlaw for his birthday.

Uberti has a similar model out that is silver. I think I saw it in American Rifleman last issue. Anyhow I was at my LGS 2 weeks ago and they had it there. Pretty neat looking, but I'd still get the Henry.
