Sorry Ruger fans. | Thats alright lad, we know we,re different the 96 lever a tad unorthodox but some like me luv em and down under here as no semi allowed the lever the next fastest shootin thing going.

I just happened to stop by a LGS the other day and i saw a profile of a ruger 10/22 with a price tag of $599, i asked the guy who in there right mind will pay that kind of money for a 10/22, and thats when he turned it sideways and i saw it, IT WAS A LEVER BABY!!! it belonged to his dad and it was never fired. its so freakn beautiful i dont want to shoot it, but it has to be done! i am sure all of you know about this gun but its completely new to me and i just had to share this with you. | I had no idea a .22 could kill a gator |

Yes it does look alot like the Savage mdl99. I laid it next to my old mans Savage 99s(.243,.300,.308) and it looks good in that company of rifles...lol!

I was not aware of Ruger making the lever action .22 when they did it.
I think a lot of potential buyers never knew this gun existed.
Perhaps Ruger could make another run and do a little better job of advertising it.
Make mine a regular .22 LR. Magnum ammo costs too much for plinking and a bit much for squirrels.

I always thought the 9622s looked more like a Savage 99 than a Winchester.......Both had a "rotary"magazine, and were ahead of their time!

Went to a gun shop a few years ago to buy a Cooper and wound up with a 96/22. TT Shooter reworked the trigger. Had it out at the range yesterday and had fun shooting a Birchwood Casey spinner. I did get the Cooper later.
