Nice low S/N, but no 44 mag. was not rare at all if you look at Rugers site on the S/N chart thousands were made while it was in production.

The mannlicher style stock was an unusual item but not rare and I do not believe the 44 mag carbine has a big collector base.

Tracer is an unknown quantity at this point
I purchased that rifle (carbine .44mag) after reading about Bill Ruger and his African hunting trip some years ago. He shot and killed a Leopard with the .44mag carbine and I like the idea of it being semi-auto for the hardwoods and our whitetail deer in my area. It was at best used within a 100 yds for deer using a 240 grn handload of mine.

My Pops had two of them. Best darn gun for deer hunting in the Ozarks. Killed my first two deer with one of them. Like to get one of my own someday.

Had one of the old .44s with a full stock back in the mid 60s. Nice little caryy rifle, drilled and tapped so I could put a peep on it. But was very finicky on what it would function with, didn't matter if factory or my handloads. So down the road it went, only Ruger rifle that was a problem and have or had No. 1s, 3s, 77s, 77/22, 10/22s and 96/44. This last rifle I added to my other Ruger long guns is this little 44 lever action. Really like it, easy to carry, accurate at 100 yds. for whitetails, makes a good woods rifle. When they were discontinued picked up 2 more mags for a total of 4.
