Tinkering with my 96 22Lr

Got this rifle new last year. It was hidden in a lot unsold at my local shop and I was very please. Down here they sell used real fast typically same day so to find a new one was tip top.
But a few things NQR the mag sat just a wee wonky low at the trigger end not real obvious but enough to cause me concern to write to Ruger customer email reply some weeks later say, tis nuthin to worry about lad so carry on. Its still NQR but not to care.
Then a spent shell would jam or not eject 2 or 3 from 10 would stick on the ejector a pain as you would not know it and try n push the new round with empty shell and that made it all wrong.
Spoke to the shop, nothin wrong here they said but I knew they had no interest.
So I looked and saw the little ejector tang that sits inside the action hmm a screwdriver and a gentle twist and now shes a beaut.

At the range with a cheap scope this little 18inch barrel can group bunny head size easy @ 50 yards and tons of fun walkin the bunny woods n fields slung on my shoulder.

May I ask was the green mountain barrel an improvement hmm say mark it out of 10. I have seen em they look to job but may be hard to get down here so knowing it value 1st will help if I want to pursue & endure import to OZ hassle.

As this shoots just fine for my skills its kinda a wish not a need.
