I love levers! I am waiting for marlin to come out with a lever in .357 with a pistol grip. i hate the strait stocks. I think my marlin lever is one of the most fun to shoot.

They also make one for the 96/44 (Item #70017 - Ruger 99/44 $49.95) Kind of a bugger getting the front dovetail sight off SOME 10/22s (mine was one), but the fiber optic front sight with peep combo is great. price is good, too.

Once I get it on I'll figure out the front sight height. Hope it comes off easy.

Are you guys serious about the price on the used Ruger levers? I just picked up a 96/44 for $200 and it looks like it just came from the factory, I will need to have a good look to see if has even been fired before… I didn’t look it over to well when I purchased it because it’s condition far exceeded my expectations for the price. That and I have a very old Deerstalker 44 my Dad gave me when I was young. I love that gun dearly so this just seemed like a good idea.

It had been a couple years since I had purchased a gun and I didn’t realize where you were located before I seen those prices you were posting. I was thinking the world had gone mad or something lol….all things considered I am still pretty sure I did ok on this deal.

Tonga if I ran across a 96/44 for that price, I'd pick it up even though I'd have no use for it. I do have a 96/17 that I bought 3 years ago for $375.00 used and a 96/22M NIB for $500.00 last year.

Oh I grabbed it , she is now sitting next to my old Ruger Deer Stalker 44mag in the gun case.
Just trying to decide if I like these Red-Dot and flip to the side Magnifiers, or just maybe a 4x fixed scope/
