Nice. I am married 36 years ans my wife never purchased me a firearm but is fine with me spending money if we have it. She does not have a NJ firearms purchase permit so she would have to get one of those first.

Congrats sir - sounds like she's a keeper! I haven't owned a .357 lever since the mid-90's - I'm green with envy ...

I love mine, accurate and feeds both 38's and 357's. And to top it off it's a beauty!

I think the 30th anniversary is supposed to be pearls. But Brass, Steel, and lead works better I think.
Congrats on a great rifle, and a better wife.

I too have the 357 Big Boy and it was given to me by my mother as a birthday gift. I do use my occasionally for SASS matches, but boy is it heavy. Great looking rifle for sure!!! Your wife did good, sounds like she's a keeper to me. Hope the two of you go have fun with it. I just wished Ruger now would produce a lever action pistol caliber gun for SASS!!!

Thanks for all the replies everyone , heres a picture will get a better one later. It has the 20" octagon barrel, heavy rifle but balanced so well it seems lighter than it is, will give report after throwing a few down range.
I do have a ? the manual says not to shoot anything but 158 gr 38 specials as close as possible to same length as the 357 mag rounds , I have several hundred rnds of 38 spl 158 grain but they are about 1/8" shorter hoping they will cycle, just wondering what ya'lls experience with that might be.
And yes my wife is a keeper she's a great mother , amazing cook, amazing shot , she is beautiful, makes lots of money likes fast cars , knits socks for me , makes quilts and serves the communities in our area with time and expertise helping the needy and abused as well as supporting law enforcement yep she is lucky she has me
Oh yeah she bought a Ruger American in 308 a few weeks ago for my birthday, life is good.
