My $200.00 Gem

Today I was fortunate enough to find in the local Gun Listings on the internet a listing to hard to believe on a Rossi .357/.38 special in the Lever Gun section. I called up on this listing to find out that this gun is a Rossi Puma Model 92 Saddle Ring Carbine with the large loop lever and a 16 inch barrel sure enough in .357/.38 special. I asked the seller why he was selling his rifle so cheap he said because of cosmetic flaws and that a new pin had to be inserted on the lever. I got his text photo's of this rifle and told him to hold this rifle and I was going to come over and look at his rifle. When I saw the rifle I told the guy I wanted it. So after making the deal I brought this little beauty home and decided to clean it up and Wow what I find for $200.00 this rifle is not hurt I cleaned it up and used some cold blue here and there and here it is! The first picture is kind of fuzzy the gun looks much nicer then it shows the 2nd picture is better quality just learning how to post pictures!

I love that gun and its set up. I had to go with the regular 20" model though so it would hold ten rounds for SASS. If it weren't for that I'd of had one just like you stole for 2 bills. What a deal. Smithy.

Nice dealin'. Those 357 lever actions are highly desirable. There's a similar one with 20" barrel at my local gun shop and they're asking $550.

That would be a 10% return, clever marketing ploy none the less.

Thumbs up Took the rifle out for the first time

Hey guys today I took this gun out to the shooting range I had the .38 special 130 grain fmj's and .357 125 grain jhps all I can say is Wow this little gem shoots some very tight groups with both loads I could only set it up the farthest at 25 yds. But I had several groups of just a very tight cluster of bullet holes! The sights will take some getting use to & tonight I have painted on some flourescent orange paint on the front sight so it will show up better. But yea this was definitely steal of a deal I told myself 2 days ago that the public in general needs to show more appreciation for our troops. Two days ago while gassing my car up there was a car in front of me and the license plate had veteran on it. I saw the owner and asked him if he was a veteran and he said yes. I walked up to him and shook his hand and said thank you for all that you have done. We talked for a few minutes and got to know each other better and he agreed that he wasn't happy at all with our current administration etc potus etc! Well the guy that sold me this gun is a veteran as well he had served in Afganistan or Iraq he dropped the price because of some cosmetic problems that some elbow grease and some cold blue has taken care of. So I really like this little gun just in the way I came about finding it! Its nice when you can pass things on to people and get to know them better and appreciate our Veterans! My father served in WWII in the Phillipines and on Okinawa as well so he had seen some of the roughest action in the Pacific theater of the War. The seller of my rifle we talked I guess for at least an hour. So yes what a find and also got to make some friends in the process! I got my targets from today & I will see if I can post a picture of the grouping on this rifle.
