I haven't heard of a GP100 5". Wish I did. Wish it was right here on my desk. I'm thinking I may want to scope a 6" in the future though.

Cool

Haven't had the pleasure of seeing a 5" GP in real life, but a size in between the 4" and 6" that i have should be a winner!

Got to have one
Years ago had a 5 inch S&W 27. Shot like a 6 inch and carried like a 4 inch.
And I regret I sold it

5" Gp-100

I managed to get one of the Davidson's 5" Stainless GP-100's

Have to say the action seems tighter than any other GP-100 I have seen in the past.

Not shot it yet pending reloading ammo.

Only flaw I could find was that the throat just past the forcing cone was reddish colored/stained.

Not sure if it is just rust or something from the factory test fire. Looked a bit like the red primer sealer you get on loaded ammo. Some CLP got it out. Wondering what it is actually. Seems a bit too red to be rust. Thread Sealant?

Owned some Smith Revolvers, but always come back to the GP-100 series!
