Hey Neon Horse, 'grats on your two new revolvers. I'm glad you were able to score the Wiley Clapp GP 100, 3". They're both beauties. We'll be looking forward to the range reports.

Really enjoyed viewing this collection. Your recent two additions are also on my wish list, especially the Wiley Clapp. Thanks for sharing!

Just a thought.

I need one of those Shopkeeper Bearcats.
It's like an NAA .22 that you can actually hold and shoot accurately.
Funny, that's what I thought. I thought a NAA mini would be a purchase, but having held both a NAA and the Shopkeeper makes me appreciate what Ruger made. The Shopkeeper is a great size- small, but capable. I'll get a holster, but the Shopkeeper sits relatively comfortably in the pocket. It's a practical mini revolver!

Congrats Neon. Very nice looking GP.

If I may ask, what kind of finish does the WC have? Is it a matte stainless or does it have some sort of coating? They have one at my LGS for $739 and the balance and POA was outstanding. I was thinking about getting one.

Hey exlogger!
You may ask! The finish is a matte stainless (per Ruger's website). Someone else may be able to give you a better indication whether they treat the steal differently. The metal's color does seem to be different than my standard GP 6". Maybe it's more similar to the target gray finishes on certain revolvers? I do know that I like how it looks!
I recommend getting one. I love my standard SPs and GPs, but this one felt sooooo right. The one I originally held was the blued finish, but I knew I had to have one in steel! I think it's well worth the extra few bucks. The melted corners are awesome!

Thanks Neon. Sounds like a winner.
I handled the gun in the store and noticed the cylinder is tapered down on the barrel end. Probably to cut down on the weight and add to the whole "stream lining" affect of this model (take away some of the bulk).
