That is a real beauty. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. Just plain old fun to shoot. I carry mine while hog hunting as a back up to my .30-30.

i had the stainless steel with 6" barrel and i really regret having sold it..

excellent gun with very mild recoil even with full loads...i think the pachmyr grip on mine had something to do with that plus it's quite hefty too..

i was shooting steel plates at 50m and could hit them most of the time if i do my part...

...had an offer i couldn't refuse at the time time but in hindsight i wish i did!!

Thanks for all the replies. I have another Security six blue with 4" barrel. this one has been fired so I probably won't be shooting the one I just posted.

Wouldn't hesitate a minute to go out to the range and start shooting. I wouldn't own a gun I couldn't shoot.

Very nice find. I have the Speed Six in .38 only. My next purchase will be one in .357.

Howie, I used to say the same thing, but lately I have been buying some older discontinued guns unfired when I think the price is right.

To each his own. I just know I want to shoot them. I can see the other side if you want an investment but I think I would get into gold if I were wanting that. I guess I just don't have that collector gene in me.

Just remembered I paid $150 OTD when I bought my 1978 6" stainless security six. I've put thousands of rounds through it so it's not quit so pristine anymore.
After 34 years, I think I will keep it a little longer, like just pass it down to my kids

smithnframe is an unknown quantity at this point
Very nice! My dad used to buy these in the early 70's for 87.50. He would slick them up and make custom stocks for them and sell them for 150.00. My brother has one yet and I will try to get some pics to post.
