Sp101 trigger job question

I polished the internals of my sp101 with 2000 grit sandpaper. I then used glitz to mirror polish the areas I sanded. I now hear that it's not good to mirror polish them because the polished surfaces will not hold oil now. Is this correct?

Lubricants have different surface tension properties, and react to surfaces through those properties. Coarse finish or mirror finish has no affect on the chemistry of the interaction for any given surface area.

I usually just catch the edges of moving parts with a fine Dremel sanding disk and call it good. The finish is fine enough for internal parts and don't polish any further. Smithy.
