Very nice! My 6" GP-100 is my favorite hunting sidearm. I've kept mine pretty much stock except I put a Hi-Viz front sight on it. That grip looks good. Thanks for sharing!

It's truly a work of art. The folks that built mine take absolute great pride in their work. Flawless precision.Grips are wooden panels on the rubber boot though, very comfortable and easy to hold even when your hands get sweaty. Any issues with that smooth grip? I see no hatching.

Thank you all for the kind replies!

@oldog: I just got everything (the sights and grip) this week this week, so I have yet to put the grip through a sweaty palms range test (hell, I still need to zero the sights as the redhawk gold bead front is taller than the stock sight) and with family in town this weekend, the range will have to wait.

My initial impression of the grip is that it is the same size as the monogrip (from comparin side by side) and just as easily gripped thanks to the fingergrooves but it does require you to use the included saddle and scew as the saddle and screw for the monogrip was not the same size (larger diameter and longer).

Just took delivery of a blued 6" GP-100 last week and love it. It seems to be very accurate most likely more accurate than me. Anyway I'm as satisfied as any firearm purchase I have ever made. I have bought so many stainless firearms I went for the blued this time. Beautiful gun you have there, I would like to upgrade front sight and grips. Glad to hear the grips work well, makes me want to change mine even more.

Like those grips. Let us know how they handle with mag loads. Thinking about getting a set for my GP100. Already installed hiviz sights, with my old eyes they sure help.

Very nice looking GP100 Revoliver! Sharp looking Ruger...

How do the Hogue Rosewood grips handle the recoil, any slippage?

I have a blued, 4" barrel GP .357 mag. with the Hogue black rubber grips and need less to say I love it!

Shoots terrfific (when I'm on, that is )

Good luck with your GP and happy shootin'

Very nice! I have a 5" stainless model that I just love. By far my most accurate hand gun. Only thing I've done to mine is Hogue monogrip and Wolfe spring mod. I really like those sights on yours. I may have to pick one up.

Thank you all for te continued kind replies!

@Airdale and JK55: As far as I can tell, the rosewood laminates are the exact same dimensions as the rubber monogrip, and from fartin' around with them for only a little bit (just got off my rear and put the sight and grip on yesterday) they feel just as secure as the rubber monogrip. I have yet to go to the range though to give them a sweaty palms run (family in town fort he weekend), but based on the design itself, I do believe a secure hold can be maintained through full house loads and sweat due mostly to the fingergrooves.

I did a LOT of researching on these grips and lamented over whether to get them checkered or not, but ultimately decided against checkering as Hogue's checkering is more of a Line Per Inch, I was getting fingergrooves anyway and also it would take away from the thickness of the grip (something I actually would like a bit more of). And then there's also the belief that the grip looks sexier without the checkering :P

@CDG306: I love the gold bead fron sight! So much smaller and narrower than the 2x4 black ramp stock sight. It is much easier to get a good sight picture on smaller or further away targets with that shiny little puck! The front sight is from the old (discontinued) Ruger Redhawk GBVR front sight replacement set consisting of the gold bead front sight and a vnotch rear blade. They are getting hard to find (I paid a lot for mine NIB on Ebay). Try a WTB add here on the forums and check Ebay. The sight is also taller than the stock 2x4 ramp so you will need to raise the rear sight to compensate (as I still have to do). I wish you good luck in getting one!
