Saw 3 six series revolvers for sale today

I saw three six series six guns at a gun show today. One seller said he thought the stainless service six he was selling was unfired. He must have thought I was blind or new nothing about guns, it looked well used and the front of the cylinder was black. Dealers like this annoy me.It was way overpriced for the condition. The other two were priced good for their condition but they were not what I was looking for. Came home with something else but no Rugers, the hunt is still on.

Or the guy at the table that says "It's only had one box of rounds through it or so..."

How does he know unless it was his? lol

Selling tactics...sheesh!

At one show I saw a Stainless Security 6 the was in need of a cleaning and had a bit of corrosion showing. He wanted almost 500 for it. Another guy had a S&W model 15 that was dirty and had much of the blue gone from the frame and it looked a bronze or brass color where the blue was gone. He also wanted almost 500.

People are dragging out the "chaff" from their collections and trying to pass it off for a profit............

Every used gun has "only had a box through it".

Most of the Sixes out there for any kind of decent price are some kind of trade ins, or were used and abused.

If a Ruger revolver has a smooth action-- you know it's been well used!
