LCR 357 Barrel Markings

I had my new LCR 357 out at the range Sunday and Ruger Redhawk was kind enough to bring his LCR 38 with the boot grip for me to compare. I noticed on his 38 the barrel markings are very deep and easy to read. On my 357 it very difficult to even see.

Are all the 357s like this?

My 357 is just like your photos. The difference is roll marking stainless (357 LCR) versus aluminum (38 LCR). Plus, the black finish fills in the writing a little bit. The LCR-22s have deep roll marks, too. Wouldn't bother me if they weren't marked at all, maybe just the Ruger logo someplace.

Thanks for checking.

I thought it might just be the steel vs. alluminum.

LCR .357 Barrel Markings

The markings on my LCR are also pretty light.
I carry it EVERY DAY, ALL DAY. The perfect personal protection weapon FOR me.

That explains the reason why they are so different. You seem happy the way it shoots that's what counts. That was the first 357 LCR I ever looked at.
