| Ruger Super RH, target Grey in .454
Guys,
I found a Ruger SRH, target gray, 7.5 inch barrel, magna-ported, excellent condition (quite tight lockup), for $500 flat.
No box but as-is (no rings either but then I never scope pistols.)
So, is that a good price?
Thanks,
Deaf

Unless you are a collector and keep the boxes it's no big deal. That sounds like a good price to me. I imagine without looking them up the rings are 60-70.00 maybe more. If you don't plan on scoping it it's no big deal again. You could always find a set of used rings if you change your mind. I have the same gun with a 9 1/2"bbl. It's allot of gun.

Sounds like a fair price, even a good price. A nearby LGS has a used one for sale with a 2x Leupold scope and he's asking $800.

Hard to find under $600
The 480 is cheeper
Personally I think the 7.5" barrel is worth a bit more than the longer one

You can compare the going prices on a few websites...but I'd snatch it up for that price! As long as everything is clean, the cylinder locks up tight, and you're happy with it...$500 smacker's is a great price!!! The .454 will also shoot the .45 Colt...which is cheaper and somewhat lighter on recoil...a great practice round!

Yep I got it. Fired five rounds of .45 LC SWCHP lead factory ammo (only 5 rounds I had.)
10 yards the group, firing standing two handed, SA, was about 1 inch and dead center. Of course the kick was, well, not sure if there was any kick. Had 6 Winchester .454 factory 260s but I chickened out.
I'll see about handloading and a 300 or so grain SWC lead bullet at maybe 1000 fps. That ought to do it here in Texas for just about anything. Oh, and I have 2 S&W 629 4 inch .44 magnums, one a Mountain gun, so I have shot big'uns before.

Nice purchase. I bought one this year, used with scope, for a couple a hundred more.
