| Any 4.2" SP101 fans out there
I haven't seen many posts about the 4.2" SP101's. I have the 357 version and really like it. It shoots very well and my wife can handle it well also. It seemed like a compromise at the time but after shooting it you realize there is no compromise here. Just a sweet shooting revolver. Even had a nice trigger pull out of the box, although I will do some trigger work in the future just to make other even better. What say you...

I have both the 2" and the 4". My wife liked the shorter barrel and I liked the longer one so we compromised . . . . and bought both!

I have the 4.2" and love it. I also have the 4" and 6" GP100 and I think those also have their merits. The SP101 is easier for my wife to handle, while I enjoy the big bulkiness of the GP100.

I would buy one if I find one locally at a good price. I like the idea of a downsized GP.

I saw one this weekend at a gun show for the first time. It had nice balance, if I didn't already have the 3"...........I ended up buying the SP101 22lr.

The 4" is what I've been wanting for a long time. Small enough for CC, powerful enough for woodsbumming.

I have the 2 inch talo and the new 4 in .357. I actually prefer the 4 over the 2. If the 4 had the engraving that the 2 inch has, I would get rid of the 2 incher. Someday, when my daughter moves off to college, I am going to let her choose and have one of the two. She's ten right now, but I'm thinking ahead.
I am currently looking for the .22 model to go with the .357.

| I chose the 4"
I got the 4" barrel and am glad I did. The gun is just perfect for me with the longer barrel, and it shoots great. I did get an LCR in 38 a couple of years ago, so I also have a great, extremely lightweight revolver.
I like the SP101 for carrying around the Nat'l Forest, and I like the LCR for the nasty creatures in the city.
The LCR fires more readily from inside my coat pocket.

Love it! I just bought the sp101 in .22lr. Besides having beautiful looks it handles great. It is my second favorite gun, second only to my 686.

I like mine quite well as a kit/camp gun (once the tiny little grip was changed). It is a bit bulky for day to day carry. I am looking for a good price on an LCR for that.
Have a hogue laminated wood grip that was a BIG improvement for my hand.

I knew there had to be a few fans out there. I agree that the classic looks and over all feel of it made it a must have. My wife appreciates the size also. I hated replacing the stock grips but the Hogue monogrips fit a bit better giving your pinkie extra grip. I too was looking for a handgun that could double as a nightstand gun and a kit gun while in the woods. Have any of you done the trigger smoothing work? It looks like a nice project (not too difficult ). What type of holster are you guys using and do you like it.Im using a cheap Uncle Mikes till I find what I want. Thanks for the feedback . Brian
