| My new 4" Redhawk
Just took this to the range yesterday for the first time and loving it! Fired 50 rounds before I knew it. Picked it up used with ammo and holster for a great price. My favorite .44 so far. Smooth action and a great all around large revolver. Removing the Hogue Bantam grips have proved to be a hassle so far and I have yet to do so. I only plan on removing them for the initial "new gun" cleaning to remove the excess oil I think is from the previous owner.
I give this one two thumbs up:

Hey that looks just like mine. Enjoy it and I second the part about the smooth action. Mine had the best OTB trigger I have experienced.
Congrats.

I have an identical RH, but in .45 Colt. LOVE IT. Removing those grips was a pain, but they had to go; they were just too thick for me. Replaced 'em with some much thinner Craig Spegels, and now it's perfect [for me].

My main question is this: "Who did you have to bribe to get one of these?"
I've been looking for a 4" Redhawk in either .44 Magnum or .45 Colt for over three years and nobody in the area has one - I've been told they literally fly off the shelves.
Lucky dog!

Very nice.
I wish Ruger would build it in an 8-round .357. If it can be done on the S&W N frame, the Redhawk should handle it fine.

Good for you. That one has been on my "buy" list for some time, now, mostly for packing when the bears are out and about and, of course, for shooting fun at the range. How's the accuracy?

How's the accuracy? | I think the weight has a lot to do with it but the accuracy is spot on. I was very impressed with myself and I am sure the gun is more accurate than my targets show offhand. I have read about the great action on various sights and I'll have to agree with Terry_P that it has the smoothest action of any Ruger I have shot.
