Fortunately, the jail (dealer) has a shooting range as well, so I can go there, get my gun, shoot it and return it when done. Feels awful, but better than not seeing it at all for 10 days.

| Sorry to hear that , that would kinda of suck, but at least you get to visit your inmate and tell him he didn't pull the trigger . Must be some state law??
Around here if you see a gun you like, they call in (takes about 5 min) and you're out the door. We have no fees or sales tax. You're welcome here in Montana, we got room for those 2nd amendment, gun wielding, narrow minded, dogmatic, folks who cling to their guns and bibles (like me) .
I'll be waiting for your pics, and again congratulations! When I see it I'll have to remember to tell myself, "I shall not covet they neighbors 357" .
God bless and have a great day!

Nice one, deerhearse! I went to the Hogue site, and now I have the problem of picking a grip out of the many I like there. Maybe I should get a gun for each grip
Yeah, the 10 days waiting period is a California thing. A "cool off" period, supposedly, so that you don't walk in, buy a gun, walk out and off yourself. There is a law suit against this, but it's probably going to take a long time and the outcome is uncertain.
Besides being an idiotic law, it makes zero sense in the case of people already owning guns. Why would someone who already has guns need a "cool off" period for another gun? It makes no sense, just like so many other things in California. I'm one of those people who would move out of CA in a heartbeat, but work keeps me here.

Welcome from the Heart of Texas. My 4" .357 GP-100 is my most satisfying gun to shoot I own. I knew as soon as I picked it up and the heft, balance and fits just all seemed to be the one. Congrats on yours.
