Alaskan

Took my new to me 44 mag Alaskan to the range today. Wow, started with Win WB 240. I was all over the place getting use to to the trigger. Settled down and switched to my home-brew, 300 xtp and found the bulls eye. Than I went to my SBHH 44. It felt like a 22 compared to the Alaskan, which did get the BOOM response from other shooters at the range.

I'm sure you did! That Alaskan (and all the Super Redhawks) are handheld cannons!

Congratulations on the new 44. I would love to have one. "I shall not covet thy neighbors 44" .

The 300 XTP is my favorite hunting bullet. They are very accurate from my Redhawk. Apparently, your SRH likes them too.

It does, however in the SBHH with a Ultradot Red Dot it is a tack hammer out to 50 yards. Also use the same 300 xtp in my Marlin 1894 with oustanding results.
