The SP101 is more fun to shoot since I like recoil. I'm more accurate w/ the GP100.
If I had to carry one, it'd be the SP. But for bump-in-the-night situations, it's the GP.

I have a GP 4" and a SP 2.25". I'm not a big guy and living in FL where it's warm I can't conceal a GP very well so I never carry it. The SP gets the nod for carry on occasion but most of the time I just drop a Taurus TCP 380 in my front pocket. (In a Mikes pocket holster)
But the GP is almost always at the range with me, just love to shoot it.

Yep - got the 2.25" SP101 and the 4" GP100. I like shooting the GP better but can carry the SP better.

I find the GP so easy to shoot, and shoot accurately it can be a little boring.
The SP just feels sportier somehow. Have a 357 & a 9mm, and wouldn't part with any of the three, but the SPs do see more range time.

The SP is a great revolver. Wish I had one.
But my GP100 is one of my all-time favs! |

My vote is keep it.....I will never sell a firearm. Keep it till you can pass it down the line to someone, it may not mean much to you but one day it may mean the world to a dear friend or family member.... However I carry my SP when Im in the woods and always take it to the range. GP only comes out to the range every fews trips.

My GP is such a darn good gun I'll never sell it. I carry it (4" barrel) in the winter months when I can conceal it well. I've handled the SP and it's like a 1/2 or 3/4 GP - excellent in its own right. Hang onto the GP is my recommendation.

I have both the SP and GP and no way I'd get rid of either. SP conceals much better but the GP feels good on the hip in the woods. As soon as you get rid of that GP you'll wish you hadn't.

Just two very different guns IMO...I own a 6" gp that is rather impractical except its a super smooth shooter, the only gun my wife will shoot, what i grab for bumps in the night and nice on the hip in the field...my sp 2" is strictly a carry piece...maybe it's just me but I am really sentimental about my gp. BUT If I had no wife and did not hunt, it'd be damn hard to justify
If you don't use it, I would say get something you will- Someone else will buy and love the piece...maybe get another sp In a different caliber or maybe you're itching for an auto...I get that...

And I've regretted it ever since.

I'm definitely more accurate with my 4" GP than my SP, but then, no one ever accused the SP of being a range gun. The GP, though, does very well at the range, enough so that I am much more confident with the GP. If and when the chips are down, I want to be holding the GP.

I was torn between the SP and the GP a month or so ago. Finally settled on the 4" GP. After the first 150 rounds, I don't regret my decision in the least.
My LC9 is my EDC and my GP is my Nightstand Queen.
That's thing's so accurate and easy to shoot. How could I not love it?
