I've asked for the shipping label and they've sent me via email a next day prepaid UPS label

I called customer service at Ruger, they sent United Parcel Service (UPS) out with a shipping label, and gave me a tracking number.

Well I was going to delete this but I did not see where I could. Anyway I called Fed Ex and they said as long as it was being sent to the FFL or Distributer it could be shipped Fedex Express Priority.

I called Ruger Back and they said they would not do that for an older model. Man it's $60 to send it FedEx. I can order the part myself for $15, I think I'll just stick with my original plan. I had talked to a guy at a gun show and told him I need a new cylinder lock because it had some slop in it. He suggested sending it in so I thought I would try it.

Wow!!!

FFL can send it USPS Priority mail for $20-$30 if unless they want to rip you off, which many want to rip you off. Course if they want to rip off on shipping they do not have to worry about any other business from me.

Yes I thought about that but I'm pretty sure that all that is wrong with it is the cylinder lock. So for $15 I can fix it myself. I was just thinking if it would not cost more than $20 I would just send it to them and have them look it over. The gun fires fine the way it is, so once I put the new lock on I think all will be well.

I wish I’d have seen this thread a few days ago. I just spent $28 to send a less than one year old Mini-14 back to Ruger. They never offered to send a shipping label.
