I had a major fail with it. It would complete the trigger action with the cylinder open.

I sent it to Ruger, and they repaired it. I've been shooting it some to see if it holds up.

Don't trust it though, so I won't carry it anymore.

I'm rather attached to my hands, prefer to keep them attached to my arms, which I consider to be a pretty good decision. Do as you wish with yours.

Three Thousand rounds through my LCR. Most of them 125G. JHP 357ammo. Around 500 rounds were 38 Special and 38+P. No problems so far.

Both my and my wife's LCRs are loaded with Winchester PDX1 .38+p. I carry mine each morning walking my dog. When I usually practice two hand, strong and weak handed, the recoil is manageable. In asking that, I occasionally practice one handed, strong and weak. Weak one handed, the recoil gives me a nice muzzle rise; but, strong one handed is just a little more than two-handed.

I also take the little jewel with me when I go to the hunting lease and the first two rounds are CCIs shot for the abundant rattlesnakes we have.

I just bought Hornady nCritical Defense for my Glock 23 and Ruger SR. Guess I'll have to go back to Bass Pro for .38s

I use 135 +P or 124 gr +P in my LCR (357) and find that the recoil is very tolerable.

I carry my LCR almost daily and for SD I keep it loaded with the Hornady Critical Defense loads.

When i carry my LCR i prefer Critical Defense ammo, usually .357 in the winter and 38 spl. +P in warm weather. I tend to carry the 38 +P more now because of the extreme noise issue of the 357, the recoil is also vary abusive with the 357.

I've ended up with the Speer Gold Dot 135 gr short barrel 357 mag's. Muzzle velocity is similar to Terry's +P BBs, a mild 357 but enough for me to feel confident. (Why not use the BBs then? I like the design of the GD hollow points esp. when tuned for short barrel, as do many police departments--and the 357 GDs give a bit more power than the 38+P GDs. But there are many good loads.) I really tried to manage the CD 357s that I use in the GP and SP, but with the boot grip, just too much. One can only be so macho...
