When sitting in my sports car, I can't draw my LCR from my pocket holster. I bought an ankle holster, which I wear on the inside of my left ankle. Before I get out my my car, I can transfer my LCR to my pocket holster. If I'm going to sit at a restaurant table, I leave the LCR in my ankle holster.

The LCR is small enough if you wear decent cargo pants or khakis with bigger pockets. You can also get a boot grip for the LCR that is even more concealable.
The LCP is quite small and you almost forget your carrying it. Be sure to get a decent pocket holster for either one.
It all comes down to what type of gun you want. Both have advantages and disadvantages. I'd trust the .38spl+p to be the superior man stopper, but the LCP has two extra rounds.
You might want to do LCR in fall/winter, LCP in spring/ summer.

In the warmer weather when wearing cargo shorts or bulky pants, I front pocket carry my LCR in a Desantis Nemesis. On cooler days or with jeans I carry it in my Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake I/S O/S waistband holster.

Don't own an LCR, but I used to pocket carry a S&W model 60 in my jeans (Levis or Wranglers). Definite bulge there, but so what? Also, in hot weather, I like to wear long sleeve button down shirts to keep the Arizona sun off of my arms. I wear it outside my jeans for air flow. That seems to work well for places where it is hot & dry. I do it because I find it cooler, but it also helps hide front pockets.
My daughter took over my M-60, and I ordered a 649 for pocket carry. It should arrive next week. I'm thinking of buying some fatigue pants, with larger pockets than my jeans and digital cammo to help break up any outline. If it works, I'll post a thread with pics.
