Mag-na-port for my GP100

Hey everyone,

My GP100 has been gone for just shy of two weeks. I sent it off to Magnaport for their Dual Trap porting service, and also had them dehorn the hammer and etch their logo. I'll attach some pics.

I just got the gun back together (shipped it without the cylinder) after installing hammer shims and reduced power hammer and trigger return springs (12 lb on the hammer and 8lbs on the trigger.

I'm going to head out shortly to shoot it. I'll grab a video while I'm at it. :-)

Nice! Tasteful additions! Plus, you can now manage that fierce 38 special power!

Haha, yeah.....nothing fierce about 38 Spl in this gun....LOL!!!

I'm on a quest to be half as good as Jerry Miculek..... I have a personal challenge to meet by the end of the Fall season. I'll explain more on that when the time comes. ;-)

These mods are all part of that quest.

It did good! 38 Spl was like shooting a 22, and that's no exaggeration. +P felt like 38 Spl. Magnum rounds had less bite than without porting.

I'll work on the video after the kids go to bed. ;-)

I have magnaport on 2 44 mags with 4 inch barrels to keep muzzle rise under control. Hand strength is not enough anymore.

Sorry guys, the GoPro is new to me and the editing software is different from what I'm used to (Movie Maker).

Here's a clip from the video I was trying to make.....I'll keep working on it and hopefully have it up by the end of the weekend.

Another nice thing about this slow motion is now I see I can use it to analyze the effectiveness of different gripping techniques.

He's the fastest shooter in the world for many calibers. That's what amazes me about him. I'd love to be even 1/3 as fast.
