Found Ruger GP100 .327FM

Well today I noticed again a listing on the Ruger GP100 .327 FM yea a very nice revolver...........but gulp no way I will put out .............$$$900.00 for one!!! I have a Ruger SP101 .327FM thats nice & it would be nice to have a bigger heavier revolver in the same caliber but not for that much!!! Oh well the seller wants to sell to fund another project.......well I would want to see quite a reduction in price in order for me to want to help fund one of his projects!!! This guy has listed this revolver about 3 to 4 times the last several months.

That's a fair price for a rare gun, if in nice shape.

That's a pricey GP... Just like the SPs in 9mm. They bring more money, huh?

Well I had a interesting e-mail from the owner of the Ruger GP100 .327FM. I might be able to work something out a few dollars less. But we will wait & see.

I have a Blackhawk I bought new back about 2009 when they released them

Its had probably 200 rounds shot out by me. Still looks like the day I bought it.

I can honestly say it would take $1000 to get me even thinking about selling it.

And I probably would require that the buyer also buy the approx 1000 rounds of factory American Eagle ammo I have for it.

I think the Blackhawk is even rarer that the GP100.

Don't let the SP go. Pony up the $$$ for the GP and don't look back. You already reload for the caliber which is a huge plus. I've paid high for a number of, what could be considered, rare revolvers. The joy of owning and shooting them quickly negates their cost. Factor in that the value will only increase as time goes on. More like "buying early" than over paying. We only live once. You will regret not grabbing it.

The only risk is the outside chance that Lipsey's or TALO or even Ruger themselves will decide to make another batch of GP100s in 327. The prices on the 327 GP100 are only due to their out of production status and if that were to change prices would fall dramatically. Would this ever happen? No way to know but as long as the GP100 platform is still in production it's possible. It has happened before with the 1708 GP100 being a good example. The 1708 (3" adjustable sights in 357) was considered rarer than hen's teeth with very few known examples in existence and values were sky high. Then Lipsey's ordered a batch (after a 20 year production hiatus) and now they appear from time to time valued no more than any other GP100.

Not saying don't buy it just go in with your eyes open to the possibility that it could some day return to market and values will adjust accordingly if it does. With Ruger you can never say never.

Good advice. Go in with your eyes open. That said, I'd probably get it. In fact, I did. Two years ago I found a .327 GP for $800. I bought it and never looked back. If a distributor releases another GP in .327 FM and the price on the original release revolvers drops, I won't regret it for a second.
