New GP100

It's been a few years since I was on here but I'm back to where I can shoot to my hearts content. Picked up a new GP100 3" bbl and can't wait to get it to the range, it's a sin to have a gun that hasn't been shot. No I am not going to keep those big monster grips they are going as fast as i can get them replaced. I can't decide if i want to go with the standard or the compact grips with inserts.

The GP100 is an excellent revolver. I own the 5". Enjoy!

I went with the standard rosewood insert grips on mine. I love the way it looks, and it feels great in my hand.

I have to agree with Pam. I like the stock grips and found them comfortable on the 3" model. I kept the stock grips on the 6" as well.

Congrats on the 1715 GP100 - solid gun and a good choice. I've ended up with mostly 3" barrel GP's with the exception of one 6 incher and enjoy them. For the plinking I enjoy the 3" barrel is just fine.

I see you have Kearney, MO as your location. I Remember Kearney from my teenage years, back a lot longer than I care to admit. Of course I know the town has changed dramatically since then and I haven't been back in over 30 years. It was once a quiet rural farming community and now I hear it's a sprawling suburb of metro KC. Glad to know you can still live in Kearney and have places to shoot all you want.

I just bought a 4" 10 days ago. I have some Pachmyr Signature Series grips on the way. :-)

Waveform Iv'e lived up here for eighteen years now and it was smaller then than it is now, but still a nice place to live. We are still far enough away from KC but it would be nicer if it were another ten or twenty miles. It's more of a bedroom town anymore not like it was even when we moved here.
I shoot at our local (The Armory) range owned by a nice couple and you can always get in when you want so thats nice.

Sweet! GP100 3" is a nice gun. I have one and kept the Hogue grips, just too comfy. Absorbs 357 Mag well.
