SP101 Black Cerakote?

I'm considering the TALO SP101 with black Cerakote. Looks nice.

Does anyone know how well the finish holds up? How does it wear? It'll be a carry gun, but it will have a soft leather holster (no kydex).

Anybody own the black SP101?
Any drawbacks to the Cerakote?

thanks

Never dealt with the talo so101 but I had my GP 100 cerakoted stealth black and it held up real well. Even on the cylinder.

I don't have any first hand experience with the SP101 in factory Cerakote but I have applied Cerakote to several guns including a couple of revolvers and it holds up extremely well. The dreaded turn ring has not yet appeared on my GP100 with close to 1K rounds through it. The only issue I've seen is the finish wears off on the ends of the cylinder above the chamber from the blast of heat, gasses, etc. at the B/C gap. The underside of the top strap deflects the blast back down on the end of the cylinder and it wears off the finish in a little spot. I've been told this is normal and there's not much that can be done about it. I would be curious to see if other Cerakoted revolvers, including the SP101, did the same thing.

I concur. Mine was about the same as yours.
