Love my SRH in .480 Ruger

This is my new favorite woods gun. I did my first online purchase a month ago and it was a Ruger SRH .480. I do some backwoods camping here and there and settled on this for bear protection and to protect myself from the other Apex predator that very very few people have seen and many people don't believe it exists.

I like the .480 for up close protection over the .454 Casull simply because of the slightly bigger bullet diameter and it is pretty much in the same category as the .454 Casull. I could have opted for a 500 but I didn't see the point. I love the Super Red Hawks.

I think the .480 is pretty underrated and My favorite revolver will always be the SRH's. I've been using mine in single action just because I don't reload yet so I don't want to waste ammo trying to get proficient at it in double action but that's what snap caps are for.

Congrats on your new pistol. I'm still hunting for a SBH Bisley 480 but if I don't find one soon I may have to get a SRH instead. I can occasionally find a SRH 480 but I've yet to see a SBH 480 in the wild.

I've seen a few of the SBH .480 at Cabelas although I can never find one online either.
