LCRX .357/9mm Convertible?

Why not? There are probably several reasons, but since Ruger has done this for their Blackhawk SA revolvers, might such be possible for the LCRX, which doesn't currently offer a 9mm version? Asking in ignorance. That's how I learn stuff.

To be safe, IMO, it would require two cylinders - one for .357 and one for 9mm. Since the cylinders are not easily switchable on the LCR - I'm pretty sure they won't ever do it. The Blackhawk cylinders are swappable with the push of a button and pulling out the center pin.

I have an LCR in 9mm and like it alot - great trigger pull. My suggestion would be for you to buy both versions ...

Unlikely. A crane and cylinder swap isn't as easy as in single actions. Not a bad idea though.

Chiappa managed with the Rhino 200 DS Combo, and S&W 638 has a pretty snag-proof hammer. Ruger could implement both better, one suspects.

They would have to go with an extractor system something like taurus has for their convertable Pit Bull. .

If they built an LCRX 9mm with moon clips and a purpose built barrel, , Id be a buyer.

The LCR 9m is a great revolver IMO. I just like a hammer for SA/DA use.

Do any of you think the Single action on a LCRx is too light for self defense?

It seemed that my SP-101 had a heavy DA trigger, but it was super light in SA
mode.

If I have a regular LCR with a light and smoth DA trigger from the factory, I can
shoot it pretty well at the short distance that I practice at these days.

My next handgun will be either a KLCR or LCRx in .357 Magnum, or a Bond Arms
Derringer in either .45/410 or 38/357 Mag.
