New GP100 in 44.special

I am from Europe and I'm going to buy new GP100 in 44.spl. I read on some forums that there are problems with sights and chambers being reamed wrong. So my question is if there is anyone with first hand experience with this gun and if all this ''gun problems'' is just empty talk on the internet.

As you would imagine, shipping gun back to Ruger if there are any problems would be a big stuggle since I'm from Europe.

Thanks for any help...

I had a .357 mag version and loved it.

I have the GP in 44 Special and zero problems. The front site is a little different and looks like it might be sitting to high but doesn't seem to be. I'm pleased with mine and have close to 500 rounds through it.

I just picked one up yesterday and it seems fine. Front sight is flush and the chambers seem fine.

I bought mine in January. The cylinders were too large and bullets would keyhole at 25 yards. The rifling was very rough also. The front sight was a little high but didn't bother me. I sent it back to Ruger and it was returned with a new barrel and cylinder with much better .431 throats. I'm happy with it now.
