Hey ditto, at least no one got hurt. Could've been an "accident" where you bought a Korth for thousands.

If you start messing with the springs, don't carry the gun concealed or rely on it in any other way until you are certain there aren't going to be any light primer strikes. It's a Ruger, so it's better to just learn to shoot it, improving trigger skills in the process.

great revolver. My 1977 security six is over 60k rounds thru and still going fine.

I bought my accident about a month ago. My LGS had a very nice 1976 SS 357 Mag Security Six with period Packmayr grips. That accident came home with me.

If it's a 150-series it's the early "low back" frame which I found to be wonderful. Unfortunately, I traded it off (idiot) for something else.

Hope you like yours. They are a great revolver.

I'm not sure why (I certainly don't want to start a caliber war) but 9mm really is not on my radar much. I do have a Blackhawk convertible with the 9mm cylinder.

It's possible that I "need" a 6 inch Security-Six to keep the 4 incher company. Now that I have the "accident," and have fired it a good bit, I've quickly become very fond of it.

But as long as you got a decent price you should be happy with your new Six series.
A friend at the range was interested in getting a T/C Contender. He floated some "test bids" on a few, and then bought one locally, and forgot about the bids. A few days later, one of his bids he'd forgotten about turned out to be the high bid, and he then had two guns instead of one.

When I found a Match Champion, I was planning on going ahead and selling my old Security Six. I just don't see that happening though. I would like to get some different grips for it.

I just realized I've been remiss. I have not posted a picture of the accidental revolver:
