This is excellent news. This is a revolver that Ruger has needed to make for a long time. Its light, has good capacity, has single action capability, and adjustable sights. I will be buying one.

Chiming in late on this one, but I really want one of these! It would be great for fishing/camping/hiking...I can't wait to see a real review.

3" barrel, adjustable sights, light weight, 22lr, all these features should mean an excellent backpacker/fishing/kit gun/trapper's kill gun etc, but these guys are right....only a Rhino is uglier than that gun. I doubt that you'll see one in 22 magnum though....i doubt there's enough market demand for Ruger to do that.

Why not a 22 Mag? They did it in the regular LCR..

I've really been interested in one, but two of the more "reputable" reviewers indicate the only draw back is the trigger pull would tow a truck

357?!?

Can't believe how many want this gun in 357. I have one on 38 and even w/out +p rounds it's a big hand-full. Can you actually shoot this light little gun accurately in 357? I sure couldn't!

But I have been waiting for this in 22lr and can't wait to get one!!

Well, a lot of people, including me, shoot the 1 7/8 inch LCR in .357. I guess to me it seems like a 3 inch LCRx would be just fine. Not saying I go to the range and put 100 rounds through it, but I do shoot it enough to be comfortable using it if I have to.

I tried the 38 and also hated it. So I got the 357 and shoot 38 in it. Much better. A 3" barrel and optional hammer would be a useful difference. The idea of a 38-only SP101 keeps coming around but then I remember the trigger and the weight and think, nah, why bother.
