This'll be a limited edition.
If you prefer something a little more traditional, you may see another iteration come down the pipeline later on.

DPris...I have seen/read that buyers are finding the 44 at LGS with a brass/gold bead instead of the green light tube....thats the one I am holding out for....have not seen any in OKC yet..

Well.......a confusing subject.

There are gold bead fronts for the .44 GP floating around (I have a pair), and you can order them from Novak (I didn't), and there's a 3-inch TALO version out that comes with one installed, and another planned distributor special that'll have one, but they don't come installed from Ruger on the standard 3-inchers, to the best of my knowledge.

Does that help?

Ooooh, I like that one.
Still can't see myself paying for 44spl cartridges, but I wouldn't have to buy all that many of them would I?

I noticed a 3" at my LGS today

Mentioned to one of the guys why no 6"? He said the 3" had a really nice trigger and action. I did not take a hard look (was waiting for paperwork to clear) but I don't recall a fiber optic sight. Don't show me that 5" with the old style grips. I'm too broke.

NICE. Looks to be about what gunsmith Gary Reeder has offered as a custom gun, long before Ruger got the bright idea. Of course, the Reeder gun gives you more in the way of no additional work required . It does cost more, but you get a barrel of his making, a 5 shot cylinder of his making, perfectly timed and line honed to the barrel, and a double action trigger second to none.
BUT for the Lipsy's MSRP; I want one. ( Well, a second to keep the stainless version company. Just need to sell a thing or two first, I guess )
