Congratulations!

I got one a little over a month ago, and it has become my favorite firearm. She shoots those 357 magnums like I'm shooting a squirt gun!

I noticed that also, the pivot tang is not under the grip!

Great choice. I just ordered new snakeskin checkered grips from Altamont, and new grip panels from Chigs Grips. Check them out. I'm anxious to make a great gun look even better. No skin in their game, but they have some great looking stuff.

Congrats. I love my 6 in GP. Shooting hot 180 grain ammo out of it is a hoot!

Here's mine with the Chig's Grips panels with Ruger eagles. Grips are Altamont snakeskin checkering. The sight is a One Round Hole rear sight (for ageing eyes) and Millet orange front sight. Have fun with yours. I've had mine for 10 years now. Just decided to dress it up a little.

I bought my first GP100 .357 for around that price back in september. Love the gun, wanting new grips and sights eventually.

Im in with the crowd, love my 4". I bought my father a 3" for christmas several years back. 2 weeks after I bought my 4". Later since I liked the other 2 so well I bought the 454 alaskan that matches. I had went back and forth if I wanted the 4" or 6". It was a hard decision with many hours thinking of what would suit me best. I went with the 4" for the reduction in weight, but who knows, I may still buy a 6". Or better yet buy a dan wesson 15V or newer 715 with all the interchangeable barrels from 2" to 8".

Here is my two and my fathers wheelgun. Enjoy yours.

The 4" stainless was my first GP100 as well. I shot a Falling Plates match with it last weekend and discovered one thing. I suck shooting it at speed.
I love the way you can stage the trigger with it between shots, and I hit what I am aiming at when I take my time, I just suck when it comes to doing all that fast.
I did much better with my MK IV with the red dot, so maybe a Weigand scope mount, a red dot, and some trigger work is in the future for this one.
And a case of ammo.......
