I have the 1715 model too, same plastic case. Love the way it feels in my hand, shoots and feels in the holster. 3" barrel helps for a smooth draw.

Was just surfing Ruger gp100's and came across the 3" #1715. Its listed as a kgpf331 but have also seen a kgpf331-c model at ~ $50 more on one site. Anybody know what the -c brings to the table? Thanks Ron

I could be wrong but I believe it's just a designator showing that it's on californias approved firearm list.... someone is free to correct me tho.

What is this?

This little pin came in a baggie with the gun. Anybody know what it's for?

That's your takedown pin for disassembly. There's a video on Rugers website that shows you how to use it.

^^^^^

What he said. On my SP101 with the rubber/wood inset grips, theres a notch in the rubber part to "store" the pin until needed. Which costs more, the bag for it multiplied by x amount sold, OR start making the new grips with the storage slot. Might actually save money by not having to send a "free" replacement part out when someone calls CS and says I don't have that part. Hmmm....
Just an observation. Ron

Congrats Pampurrs. That's a great gun and you will love it with .357 and even more fun with .38.

Congratulations on your GP100.

As others have noted, you will not want to shoot the LCR nearly as much now that you have a GP. The .357 mags will feel softer out of the GP than the 38s do out of the LCR.

And yes, your D550 will be smoking as you are cranking out fresh ammo!

Have fun, I know you will.
