Heat/Cold and the LCR

I have an LCR which I carry in my suv in a small holster that is velcroed to the inside of the compartment between the front seats. My question is this we have huge temperature swings here in SouthEast KY. 90s during the day and 60s at night. I sometimes leave my LCR in the vehicle in these temps. Is there any downside to big temperature swings.

The down side is leaving ammo in the car in that heat, long term it will deteriorate, so shoot it when you go to the range and get new.

Other than heat slowly degrading ammo, the only other problem with hot/cold swings is condensation issues. This is very unlikely to occur inside your vehicle, should not be an issue.

Get yourself an HKS speedloader #36 and during the hot months just keep your ammo on you.
