Thanks for posting pictures. The wood grips that come on the MC are very nice grips, but I like your wood & rubber grips better myself, that's what I have on mine.

Thanks! I thought I'd like the stock Hogue one piece stippled grips until I tried the Altamont grips. The balance is neutral and natural in the hand hold. The rubber grip absorbs the recoil.

If you decide to change out the front sight our Match Champions are set up differently than the GP100 because of the crowned muzzle. Don't make the mistake as I did buying from Ruger as they don't tell you that the GP sights are not compatible the MC. We have Novak front sights and dovetails on our MC's. Go to Novak for sights. https://www.novaksights.com/Products.aspx?CAT=9509

My Novak tritium front front sight arrived yesterday! I let it charge up under natural light and then under a lamp for several hours. I removed the FO Novak sight with a dovetail brass punch and installed the new Novak sight. Don't use a sight pusher on the Novak sights it's in their web site faq's. I really like the white ring contrasting the center tritium green bead with the rear stock adjustable white lined sight. After sitting in the dark for 24 hrs the tritium bead is still glowing.

Tritium sights aren't activated by charging under lights, it's the radioactive tritium gas that makes them glow. On fresh sights the glow is supposed to last for about ten years.

After the 10 years runs out, then what? Can you expose it to light for a couple of minutes and then it will glow

After tritium sights quit glowing you can't recharge them, you have to replace them.

New Novak gold dot bead front sight shipped today since they were on backorder. Will be my back-up after 10 years or so.

just to add for anyone's benefit----when you order either of the old style wood panel/ rubber grips from Ruger store it will come delivered complete with the large aluminum dowl locator pin and the disassembly pin inside the complete grip.
