I have a WC II in Hawkeye Matte, I love it.

Send it to Ruger, give them a chance to make it right.

I have sent a total of 4 brand new Rugers back for service over the last 2 years........45 LC/ACP Redhawk, 4" .38 GP100, .45 Bisley Blackhawk, 6" TALO GP100...........all of them came back perfect for 0 cost to me. The problems only arose, from all of these, after I was able to shoot them (they all must have been fitted too tight, 6-12 rounds in they either started to get "gaggy" or locked up totally) which I wouldn't have known from a "hands on" inspection.

Well, about six weeks ago I contacted Ruger service and they emailed me instructions along with a printable parcel pick up to send my GP100 WC into them.

Not quite two weeks later I received it back with the barrel properly aligned. Very happy with Ruger service.

Farm work has kept me away from the range, but pretty soon I'll get going with shooting it.

Vic you will find out that the GP100 with a 3 inch barrel can be very accurate!!! Mine shoots into a small ragged hole @ 15 yds. Also tried mine at a steel coyote target @200 yds. Using my .357 158 grain jhp reloads & I hit the target shooting off hand.

As much as I like the grips on my WC GP100, a smaller grip is a consideration for carry, but want to make sure I'm not sacrificing to do that.

Thanks!
My first consideration as well, yes the Compact Grips will handle .357 Magnum loads just fine considering they are a smaller profile they do a good job! I bought mine to make the size of my GP100 a bit smaller for carry useage. I do not think the Compact Grips will handle the felt recoil any better then the stock WC grips but to me just as good. Hope this helps good luck!!!

I agree. My WC shoots great. More accurate than I am. Been using mine in IDPA matches this season and am having a hoot. Great gun, that won't be leaving my hands anytime soon.

Yes for sure, I looked for over 2 years finding the right Ruger GP100 & the GP100 WCII was in a LGS that I haven't been to for years and there this beauty was, never looked back extremely well designed gun with the Novak Sights the best sights I have used for a revolver. Glad to see that you are doing so well with your GP100 WC in the IDPA matches that is so so cool!!!
