And it says .41 Magnum on the barrel in the picture so not a typo.

It's not Cherno, but unless you are a re-loader ammo is hard to find. The .41 mag was developed to bridge the gap between .357 mag and the .44 mag for law enforcement back in the early 1960's but most never carried it. Still to much juice to even practice with and no way to down grade as the others for practice.

They are listed on Rugers web site too. There has also been a SBH Hunter in 41 mag.

nice I miss my 51/2inch stailless 41 mag redhawk. It was very comfortable to fire 20 rounds at a time with 210 grain full power.

Very cool, but I'd rather have a 7.5" RH, with the ribbed barrel & machined for scope mounts in .41.

Oh well. I've got a Bisley SBH Hunter in .41 on the way, so I'll be okay

Yeah it's why I've never been a huge fun of the .41 Magnum. Ammo is expensive and their is no special for it. When I finally get into handloading I'll look into the .41 Magnum.

There IS a 41 special and Starline even makes brass. But no commercial rounds or guns are out there. All custom stuff

If Harry Callahan had carried the .41 history may have been different. The phenomenal ascension of the 44 mag seemed to correlate to Detective C and his S&W 29.

Which some say was not a 44 anyway (rumor? I dunno). Hmmm.

I like both.

I'm just not so sure the line, "This is a .41. Magnum, the second most powerful handgun in the world..." has the same impact.

Good call, there seems to be a lot of evidence that it was a 41 mag he was packing.

I'm coming around to the idea of one of those as a .410GNR.
