Speed Six

Came across a decent Speed Six today at a LGS. Blued, good condition, $625

I don't see these very often and I don't know the values of these Ruger revolvers. Seems like it would be a nice "woods gun".

The shop was asking $625....seems a bit on the high side to me.

at that price it should be nearly nib or a rarer variation.

That's high for a blued Speed-Six.

If it's a consignment gun I bet the owner set the price too high.

If the shop owns it they either paid too much for it or they are waiting for someone that just has to have it and will pay for it.

Tell him you'll give him $300 for it. He must have forgot to change the price when he sold 1 of the 2 he had.

Talked to the LGS again regarding a back order on a GP100 3" WC and/or new 44Spl and then asked about the Speed Six 4" revolver and why he has it priced so high. He said they're rare as hen's teeth, so.....

Guess I'll sit back and wait for another opportunity.

I see one for sale in Texas. I'd love to grab it, but part of the appeal of the sixes is the value they offer, and this ones more of a collector

I tried to pm you about it but for the life of me i cant figure out how

You need to stop going to that gun store if the staff is going to lie to people. They may not be something you see every day but they're sure as heck not rare. Particularly a 4".
